Bio

I’ve worn many hats in life—waitressing, modelling and  TV broadcasting. I’m an award-winning landscape designer and journalist and unsurprisingly, plants, gardens and landscapes of all kinds make me happy. In addition to writing my own books I’ve ghosted a number of books for some very lovely individuals. Being an avid reader I enjoy nothing more than escaping with a good book, swimming or walking and have recently completed my first novel set in the bloody trenches of WW1.  You can keep up-to-date with publication dates and other news here.

Lucy Summers British nature writer
A chance opportunity led me to present Ch. 4's Countdown, going on to front numerous DIY and gardening programmes for BBC and ITV. A spurious approach to literary agent, Darley Anderson launched my career as a writer. Still one of the most exemplary human beings I've ever met, he rekindled my love of writing (whilst teaching me a thing or two about deadlines!) meaning I'm lucky enough to do what I love. Through my website I hope to share the joys and pitfalls of gardening, writing, nature and life's happier surprises. From time to time I hope you'll join me on those adventures.
